Operations

The company’s present operations are situated in Meyerton, Gauteng in premises with an extent of 7576 cubic meters.  The facility includes administrative offices, engineering-, thermal spraying- and powder coating workshops and a corrosion control area with a maximum lifting capacity of five tons.

 

Their services include the collection and delivery of components from and to their customers to a maximum capacity of five tons.

 

The directors have resolved to increase the capacity of the company’s operations, and are currently negotiating the purchase of a 1.4174ha property in Vereeniging with ten ton lifting capacity.  Relocating to larger premises will simultaneously activate Arc Spray’s strategic plan to realign their operations with the principles of sustainable development.

Employment
The company currently employs a total of 20 employees – excluding the directors.
Engineering
Their engineering facility includes a number of centre lathes, vertical boring mills, milling machines and cylindrical grinders providing total solutions in the preparation and finishing of thermal sprayed coatings.
Coating facility

The following processes are available in their coating facility to produce tailor made solutions to industry’s wear- and corrosion challenges:-

 

  • Electric arc flame spray
  • Combustion flame spray

  • Rokide Rod flame spray
  • High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) thermal spray
Surfacing Products

Surfacing consumables are recommended in accordance to the particular application to ensure total compliance to customer needs.  The following consumables are most frequently used in the processing of orders:-

  • Carbon Steels (Low and high carbon composites)
  • Non-ferrous alloys (Aluminum, Zinc, Aluminum-bronze, Copper, Bronze)

  • Self-fluxing NiCrBSi-alloys (fused coatings)
  • Self-fluxing WCNi-alloys (fused coatings)

In addition to these materials, they have access to the complete range of international thermal spray products through our suppliers in South Africa.

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)
The implementation of BEE has recently been approved by the company directors and the company CenFed (Pty) Ltd has been instructed to perform an audit to evaluate our present status.  The outcome of the audit will be evaluated, followed by a structured program to reposition the company towards BEE compliance.
