The founder Brain Tapinos spent 23 years in the specific field of prop shaft/driveline industry.During this period being involved from R & D through design , problem solving to manufacture , Installation , maintenance scheduling , and repair of drivelines to the OEM's , mining , on/off highway,Industrial and marine sectors.This mainly as senior management responsible for Jhburg , Pinetown and Cape Town branches and holding the position of director in the latter years. Through this having been closely associated with the majority of component manufacturers throughout Europe and U.S.A.
With this in mind utilizing this experience combined with the customers and suppliers that had so gratefully become friends it was inevitable that the new company was formed
Bradbri was founded in July 1999 with the intention of consulting and advising in the field of drivelines.However within a vary short space of time we identified the need to fill the void that had seemingly been created by acquisitions and the mergers within the prop shaft industry.

During September 1999 the complete engineering division of Cabris together with certain key personnel was acquire and moved to our premises in Boksburg.This was followed by the purchase of all the necessary equipment for the manufacture, repair and balancing of prop shafts and related components.This resulted in a facility capable of producing parts and components to the exacting standards as required from the industry as a whole .
This required that the complete direction of the newly formed company be reviewed as large investment were required for the funding of all the necessary equipment.This was resolved through personal guarantees to the financial institutions as there were no seriously interested individuals or co-investors willing to participate in this venture .The total capitilisation of equipment at the replacement cost "Like for like " at to-days pricing would be around R8.5 mio. |
